Question 1 / 90

The whole surface area of a right circular cone of radius 15 metres and height 8 metres is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The crrect answer is option 2 i.e 480π m2.

Radius (r) = 15 m

Height (h) = 8 m

Slant height (l) = √(15² + 8²) = √289 = 17 m

Surface Area = π × r × (r + l)

Surface Area = π × 15 × (15 + 17) = π × 15 × 32 = 480π m²
