Question 1 / 90

Two trains of lengths 125 m and 175 m respectively are running in the same direction at 40 km/h and 22 km/h respectively. How much time will they take to pass each other completely?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 1 min.

Relative speed (same direction) = 40 − 22 = 18 km/h × 5/18 5 m/s.

Total length to cover = 125 + 175 = 300 m.

Time = distance / speed = 300 / 5 = 60 second = 1 min
