Question 1 / 90

An oil dealer had three types of oil. 403 litres of the first kind, 434 litres of the second kind and 465 litres of the third kind. Find the maximum volume of oil filled in each barrel, if an equal number of barrels are filled.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 31 litres.

Given quantities: 403 L, 434 L, 465 L

HCF of 403, 434, 465 = 31

403 ÷ 31 = 13 [completely divisible]

Now,

465 ÷ 31 = 15 [completely divisible]

So, HCF = 31 litres per barrel
