If the angles of a triangle are (x - 46)°, (x + 96)° and 8x°, then what is the value of 2x?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 26°.

The angles of a triangle are (x - 46)°, (x + 96)°, and 8x°.

All internal angles of a triangle add up to 180°.

According to the concept,

(x - 46) + (x + 96) + 8x = 180

⇒ 10x + 50 = 180

⇒ 10x = 130

⇒ 9x = 13

⇒ 2x = 26

The value of 2x is 26°
