If ba\frac{b}{a}=0.7, find the value of a−ba+b\frac{a-b}{a+b}+1134\frac{11}{34}

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 0.5

b/a = 7/10

a/b = 10/7

By using componendo and dividendo we get,

(a + b)/(a - b) = (10 + 7)/(10 - 7)

(a - b)/(a + b) = 3/17

  a−ba+b\frac{a-b}{a+b}+1134\frac{11}{34} = 3/17 + 11/34= 17/34 = 1/2 

= 0.5
