Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. ₹1,000.

Net price   = MP × (1 - 0.10) ×  (1 - 0.20) × (1 - 0.05) =  MP × 0.90 × 0.80  × 0.95

= MP × 0.684

0.684×MP=2394⇒MP=23940.684=₹3,5000.684 \times MP = 2394 \Rightarrow MP = \frac{2394}{0.684} = ₹3,500

Cost Price = ₹2,500

Selling Price = ₹3,500

Profit  = SP - CP = 3500 - 2500 = ₹1000
