Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 450.

The original number of persons = x

Work = Persons × Days

Total work =  x × 28 = 28x

With 150 more persons, the new number of people = x + 150

They take 21 days = (x + 150 ) × 21 = 28x

21(x+150)=28x⇒21x+3150=28x21(x + 150) = 28x \Rightarrow 21x + 3150 = 28x

⇒3150=28x−21x=7x⇒x=31507=450\Rightarrow 3150 = 28x - 21x = 7x \Rightarrow x = \frac{3150}{7} = 450
