Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. Gain: 6.4%.

SP  = ₹2,730 , Loss  = 16 %

SP = (1−Loss%100)×CP⇒2730=0.84×CP⇒CP=27300.84=₹3,250(1 - \frac{Loss\%}{100}) \times CP \Rightarrow 2730 = 0.84 \times CP \Rightarrow CP = \frac{2730}{0.84} = ₹3,250

Profit  = SP - CP = 3458 - 3250 = ₹208

Profit %  = (2083250)×100≈6.4%\left(\frac{208}{3250}\right) \times 100 \approx 6.4\%
