Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. ₹770.

Discount = 14%, so Selling Price (SP) =

SP = x−14% of x=x(1−0.14)=0.86xx - 14\% \text{ of } x = x(1 - 0.14) = 0.86x

SP = CP + 10%  of  CP = 602+0.10×602=602×1.10=₹662.20602 + 0.10 \times 602 = 602 \times 1.10 = ₹662.20

 Equate SP from both expressions =

0.86x=662.20⇒x=662.200.86=₹7700.86x = 662.20 \Rightarrow x = \frac{662.20}{0.86} = ₹770
