We know that,

Total surface area(TSA) of cone = πr(r + l)

Now, According to the question

TSA = π × (r/4) × (r/4 + 4l)

⇒ πr(1+r16)\pi r(1 + {r \over16})

Thus,

TSA of the cone is πr(1+r16)\pi r(1 + {r \over16})
