First 15 even numbers starting from 2:

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, …… upto 30

It is an arithmetic progression:

a = 2, d = 2, n = 15

So,

Sum of AP = n/2[2a + (n – 1)d]

= 15/2 × [4 + 14 × 2]

= 15 × 16

Hence,

Average = [15 × 16]/15 = 16
