What is the area ( in cm2) of circle inscribed in square of area 784cm2? ( Takeπ =227\frac{22}{7})

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 616

Given :

Cirlce is inscribed in a square

Area of square = 784 cm2

Formula used :

Area of square = (side)2        ------ (1)

Area of circle = πr2         ----- (2)

Calculations :

Using equation (1)

Area of square = 784

⇒ (Side)2 = 784

⇒ Side = 784\sqrt{784} = 28 cm

The side of the square is the diameter of the circle

Diameter = 28 cm 

Radius = 28/2 = 14 cm

Using equation (2)

⇒ Area of circle = (22/7) × 14 × 14

⇒ 44 × 14

⇒ 616 cm2
