Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 35 years

Let the present age of A and B be 3x and 5x.

Their ages after 5 years.

A = 3x + 5, B = 5x + 5.

(3x + 5)/(5x + 5) = 13/20

On solving further we get,

x = 7.

Present age of B = 5x = 5 × 7 = 35 years.
