SSC CGL - 02 Dec 2022 - Shift 3 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q61

The radius of a right circular cylinder is five times of its height. If the height of the cylinder is 3.5 cm, then what is the volume of cylinder?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 3368.75 cm3.

Given:

Height = 3.5 cm

Radius = 5 × Height

Formula used:

Volume of cylinder = πr2h           ---- (1)

Where r = radius and h =  height

Calculations:

We know that, Radius = 5 × Height

⇒ radius = 5 × 3.5 = 17.5 cm

Using equation (1), we get

Volume of cylinder = (22/7) × 17.5 × 17.5 × 3.5 = 3368.75 cm3
