Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: C
Explanation
The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. ₹33,200.
Let the income of A is Rs. 5x and Income of B is Rs. 8x.
while Expenditure of A = Rs y, Expenditure of B = Rs. 2y
So, Saving of A = 5x - y
7400 = 5x - y ⇒ 5x - 7400 = y ---- (1)
Saving of B = 8x - 2y
8x - 2y = 6500
⇒ 8x - 2(5x - 7400) = 6500 (From 1)
⇒ 8x - 10x + 14,800 = 6500
⇒ -2x = 6500 - 14800 ⇒ -2x = -8300 ⇒ x = 4150
Income of B = 8(4150) = 33,200
