The curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 8580 cm2. If the height of the cylinder is 15 cm, then find the diamweter (in cm) of the circular base. (Use π=227\pi = \frac{22}{7})

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 182.

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh2\pi r h

⇒ 8580 = 2 × (22/7) × r × 15

⇒ r = 13 × 7

⇒ r = 91

Now, diameter = 2r

⇒ 2 × 91 = 182
