(The data shown here is only for mathematical exercise. They do not represent the actual figures of the country.)

The average value of the vehicles manufactured by Company A is what per cent of the average value of the vehicles manufactured by Company B during 2010 to 2015?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 81.2

Formula Used:

Average of terms =Sum of termsNumber of termsAverage\ of\ terms\ = {Sum\ of\ terms \over Number\ of\ terms}

Explanation:

According to the given question,

The sum of the vehicles manufactured by Company A = (260 + 218 + 224 + 179 + 266  + 348) = 1495

The average value of the vehicles manufactured by Company A = 149561495 \over 6 = 249.16

The sum of the vehicles manufactured by Company B = (307 + 270 + 250 + 289 + 310 + 416) = 1842

The average value of the vehicles manufactured by Company B = 184261842 \over 6 = 307

Now required % = 249.17307×100{249.17 \over 307} \times 100 = 81.2

Hence the required answer is 81.2%.
