Production (in thousands) of two types of Vehicles A and B by a company during 2013 to 2018.

In 2019, if the production of vehicles of type A increased by the same percentage as that in 2018, over its previous year, then what was the number (in thousands) of vehicles of type A produced in 2019?

According to the given graph,

The increase in the production of Type A vehiv]cles in 2018 in compariso to its previous year = (420−360)360×100{(420 - 360) \over 360} \times 100 = 60360×100{60 \over 360} \times 100 = 16.67%

Now, the number (in thousands) of vehicles of type A produced in 2019 = 116.67100×420{116.67 \over 100} \times 420  = 490

Hence the required answer is 490.
