The X-axis represents the years and the Y-axis displays the production of the three varieties in million tonnes.

The average value of the combined production of black tea and herbal tea from 2014 to 2019 is what percent ( up to 1 decimal place) of the average value of the production of green tea during the same period?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is  Option 4 i.e. 92.3.

Explanation:

According to the given graph,

The production of black tea from 2014 to 2019 = (100 + 80 + 110 + 90 + 120 + 100) = 600

The production of herbal tea from 2014 to 2019 = (90 + 100 + 120 + 120 + 90 + 80) = 600

The combined production of black tea and herbal tea from 2014 to 2019 = 600 + 600 = 1200

The average value of the combined production of black tea and herbal tea from 2014 to 2019 = 1200121200 \over 12  = 100

The production of green tea from 2014 to 2019 = (110 + 120 + 100 + 130 + 80 + 110) = 650

The average value of the production of green tea from 2014 to 2019 = 6506650 \over 6 = 108.33

Now, thw required percentage = 100108.33×100{100 \over 108.33} \times 100 = 92.5

Hence the required answer is 92.5%.
