Simplify  x2+2x+y2x3−5x2{{x^2+2x+y^2} \over x^3-5x^2 }   if  x+y2x=5x+{{y^2} \over x}=5

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4. i.e. −7y2-{{7} \over y^2}

Given:

x+y2x=5x+{{y^2} \over x}=5    ....(i)

Explanation:

According to the given question, x2+2x+y2x3−5x2{{x^2+2x+y^2} \over x^3-5x^2 }

Taking x common from the numerator and denominator, we get

⇒ x+2+y2xx2−5x{{x+2+{y^2 \over x}} \over x^2-5x }

Using equation (i), we get

⇒ 5+2(−y2){5 + 2} \over (-y^2)  = −7y2- 7 \over y^2

Hence the required value is −7y2- 7 \over y^2.
