Rs. 7200 is divided among P, Q, and R in the ratio of 1/2 : 4 : 3/2 respectively. What is the share of R?

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. Rs. 1800.

Given that

The total amount to be distributed = Rs 7200

Given ratio = 12:4:32\frac{1}{2} : 4 : \frac{3}{2}

Multiplying the given ratio by 2 gives = 1 : 8 : 3

The total number of parts in which the amount is distributed = 1 + 8 + 3 = 12

Hence, the share of R = 312\frac{3}{12}  × 7200 = Rs 1800
