SSC CGL Tier II Quant - 20/02/2018 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q34

PQR is a triangle, whose area is 180 cm2. S is a point on side QR, such that PS is the angle bisector of ∠QPR. If PQ : PR = 2 : 3, then what is the area (in cm2) triangle PSR?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 108

In ΔPQR

∴ PQ : PR = 2 : 3 (Given)

Area of ΔPSR =  (Ar PQR)

= 108 cm2
