The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 40º

In $\triangle$ABC and  $\triangle$PQR,

AB = PQ, BC = QR and ∠B = ∠Q = 70°.

So one can say that,

$\triangle$ABC and  $\triangle$PQR are congruent to each other.

∠A = ∠P

2x = x + 20

x = 20.

∠A = 2x = 2 × 20 = 40°.
