Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 2,100.

Given that

Total number of votes 7500.

Percentage of invalid votes = 20 percent

Hence, the total number of invalid votes = 20100\frac{20}{100} × 7500 = 1500

Total number of valid votes = 7500 - 1500 = 6000

Percentage of valid votes received by one candidate = 65 percent

Hence, the percentage of valid votes received by other candidates = 35 percent

Total number of valid votes received by other candidates = 35100\frac{35}{100}  × 6000 = 2100

Hence, the total number of valid votes received by other candidate is 2100.
