If B got 10% more votes than C, then the number of voters registered on the voting list is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 537500.

Let the number of votes A get = 2

So, B will get 50% less than A = 1 vote

On the other hand,

B got 10% more votes than C

Such that If C gets 10 votes then, B will get 11 votes

Now the ratio of votes

A : B = 2 : 1

B : C = 11 : 10

A : B : C = 22 : 11 : 10

The difference between the number of votes secured by B and C was 10000

11x - 10x = 10000

x = 10000

The number of votes A, B, and C get = 43x = 430000

80% of total votes = 430000

Total votes = 430000 × 100/80 = 537500
