If x2 - 3x + 1 = 0, then the value of 2(x8+1x8)−5(x2+1x2)2\left( {{x^8} + \frac{1}{{{x^8}}}} \right) - 5\left( {{x^2} + \frac{1}{{{x^2}}}} \right) is:

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer in option 1 i.e. 4379

If (x+1x)(x+\frac{1}{x})= a, then(x2+1x2)(x^2+\frac{1}{x^2}) = a2 - 2

(x2+1x2)(x^2+\frac{1}{x^2}) = 32 - 2 = 7

(x4+1x4)(x^4+\frac{1}{x^4}) = 72 - 2 = 47

(x8+1x8)(x^8+\frac{1}{x^8}) = (47)2 - 2 = 2207

2(x8+1x8)−5(x2+1x2)=\rm 2(x^8+\frac{1}{x^8}) - 5(x^2+\frac{1}{x^2}) = (2 × 2207) - (5 × 7)
