If x=7+3x=\sqrt{7}+3, find x2−67x^{2}-6\sqrt{7}.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 16.

Given, x=7+3x=\sqrt{7}+3

⇒ x2 = 7 + 9 + 676\sqrt{7}

⇒  x2 = 16 + 676\sqrt{7}

 x2−67x^{2}-6\sqrt{7}

⇒ 16 + 676\sqrt{7} - 676\sqrt{7} = 16
