SSC CGL 2025 PYQ — Question 57

SSC CGL - 13 Sep 2025 - Shift 1 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q57

If sin⁡(70∘−x)=cos⁡(2x)\sin(70^{\circ}-x)=\cos(2x), then what is x?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 20°.

Given, sin⁡(70∘−x)=cos⁡(2x)\sin(70^{\circ}-x)=\cos(2x)

When sin A = cos B, then A and B are complementary angles, i.e. A + B = 90°

Now, 70° - x + 2x = 90°

⇒ x = 20°
