Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 1+221 + 2\sqrt{2}.

x = 2\sqrt{2} + 1

x2 = (√2 + 1)2 = 2 + 1 + 22\sqrt{2} = 3 + 22\sqrt{2}

So,

x2 − 2 = 3 + 22\sqrt{2} − 2 = 1 + 22\sqrt{2}
