If the six-digit number 5z3x4y is divisible by 7, 11 and 13, then what is the value of (x + y - z )?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 4

If a number is divisible by 7, 11 and 13 then it must be divisible by the LCM of 7, 11 and 13(1001).

pqr × 1001 = pqrpqr.

From the above learning, we can say that,

5z3x4y = 543543.

On comparing we get,

x = 5, y = 3 and z = 4

x + y - z = 5 + 3 - 4 = 4.
