If tan A = 512\frac{5}{12}, then the value of cos A - ______.

The correct answer is option 4 i.e.  1213\frac{12}{13}.

 tan A = 512\frac{5}{12}

tan A = Perpendicular/Base = 5/12

(Hypotenuse)2 = (Perpendicular)2 + (Base)2

Hypotenuse = 52+122=13\sqrt{5^2+12^2}=13

Cos A = Base/Hypotenuse = 12/13
