Directions: Study the given table and answer the following question.

The table shows the results of half-yearly and annual examinations of three sections A, B, and C of class X students in a school.

Find the failed percentage of section C in at least one of the two examinations.

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 4 i.e. 42.62%.

Given that, 

The total number of students in section C = 12 + 6 + 8 + 35 = 61

The total number of students who failed in at least 1 exam In section C = 12 + 6 + 8 = 26

Hence, Percentage of students who failed in at least 1 exam In section C = 2661\frac{26}{61} × 100 = 42.62%
