∆ABC and ∆DEF are similar, and their areas are respectively 0.64 m2 and 0.0121 m2. If EF = 0.154 m, then BC is:

⇒ 0.640.0121=(BC0.154)2\frac{0.64}{0.0121} = \left(\frac{BC}{0.154}\right)^2

⇒ (0.80.11)2=(BC0.154)2 \left(\frac{0.8}{0.11}\right)^2 = \left(\frac{BC}{0.154}\right)^2

⇒ 0.8/0.11 = BC/0.154

⇒ BC = (0.8 × 0.154)/0.11 = 1.12

Hence, the length of BC is 1.12 m.
