Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 2,800

A sum of Rs 8,200 was divided among A, B, and C in such a way that A has Rs 500 more than B, and C has Rs 300 more than A. How much was A's share ( in Rs)?

Let's assume the money of A = Rs. x

⇒The money of B = x - 500

⇒The money of C = x + 300

Now according to the question,

⇒x + x - 500 + x + 300 = 8,200

⇒3x =  8,400

⇒x = 2,800

So, the share of A = Rs 2,800
