Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. ₹8,385.

A = P + SI = P(1 + rt)

8756=6600(1+1100⋅143)8756 = 6600 \left(1 + \frac{1}{100} \cdot \frac{14}{3} \right)

8756=6600(1+14300)=6600⋅(314300)8756 = 6600 \left(1 + \frac{14}{300} \right) = 6600 \cdot \left(\frac{314}{300} \right)

⇒6600⋅314300=8756\Rightarrow \frac{6600 \cdot 314}{300} = 8756

SI = A - P = 8756 - 6600 = ₹2156

SI=P⋅R⋅T100⇒2156=6600⋅x⋅143100SI = \frac{P \cdot R \cdot T}{100} \Rightarrow 2156 = \frac{6600 \cdot x \cdot \frac{14}{3}}{100}

2156=6600⋅14x300⇒2156=92400x300⇒2156=308x⇒x=2156308=72156 = \frac{6600 \cdot 14x}{300} \Rightarrow 2156 = \frac{92400x}{300} \Rightarrow 2156 = 308x \Rightarrow x = \frac{2156}{308} = 7

A2=P(1+r100)n=6600(1.10)2=6600⋅1.21=₹7986A_2 = P(1 + \frac{r}{100})^n = 6600(1.10)^2 = 6600 \cdot 1.21 = ₹7986

SI=P⋅R⋅T100=7986⋅10⋅0.5100=₹399.3SI = \frac{P \cdot R \cdot T}{100} = \frac{7986 \cdot 10 \cdot 0.5}{100} = ₹399.3

Final amount = ₹7986 + ₹399.3 = ₹8385.3 ≈ ₹8385
