The table shows the total number of batteries sold by a company (in lakhs) over the years.

A seller sells two shirts for Rs. 3,360. The cost of four such shirts for the shopkeeper was Rs. 5,600. What is the profit/loss percentage on each shirt?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 20% profit.

CP per shirt = 5600/4 = 1400

SP per shirt = 3360/2 = 1680

Profit per shirt = 1680 - 1400 = 280

Profit percentage = (280/1400) × 100 = 20%
