Understanding

Application

Given

A is 20% less than B and C is 30% more than D. If D is 25% less than A

Hence,

A = 0.8B

⇒ A/B = 4/5

C = 1.3D

⇒ C/D =13/10

D = 0.75A

⇒ D/A = 3/4

C = D × 13/10

C = A × 13/10 × 3/4

C = B × 4/5 × 13/10 × 3/4

C = B × 13/10 × 3/5

C = B × 39/50

C = 0.78 B
