Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 117/7 days

Yash can do a piece of work in 49 days and Naman can do the same work in 35 days.Saurav can do the same work in 7 days.

Total work = LCM of 7, 35, and 49 = 245

Work done by Yash in a day = 245/49 = 5 units

Work done by Naman in a day = 245/35 = 7 units

Work done by Saurav in a day = 245/7 = 35 units

Amount of work done by them when they work alternatively in the order Yash, Naman, and Saurav respectively = 5 + 7 + 35 = 47 units

Amount of work done by them in 15 days = 47(5) = 235 units

Amount of work done when Yash works on the 16th day = 235 + 5 = 240 units

Remaining work = 245 - 240 = 5 units

Time taken by Naman to do 5 units of work = 5/7

Total time required to do the work = 16 5/7 days = 117/7 days
