Which two signs should be interchanged to make the given equation correct?

729 × 9 – (56 – 6) × 5 ÷ 2 + 152 × 19 = 69

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e, × and ÷.

Given Equation : 729 × 9 – (56 – 6) × 5 ÷ 2 + 152 × 19 = 69

After the interchanging the  signs in Option 2 the equation is satisfied:

729 ÷ 9 – (56 – 6) ÷ 5 x 2 + 152 ÷ 19 = 69 ( Using BODMAS)

729 ÷ 9 - 50 ÷ 5 x 2 + 152 ÷ 19 = 69

81 - 10 x 2 + 8 = 69

81 - 20 + 8 = 69

89 - 20 = 69

 69 = 69

Thus , LHS = RHS

Hence, × and ÷ is the correct answer.
