SSC CHSL - 9th July 2019 - Shift 1 • Reasoning • Q87

Which two signs should be interchanged in the following equation to make it correct?

525 ÷ 15 - 3 × 5 + 200 = 300

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. × and -

Given equation: 525 ÷ 15 - 3 × 5 + 200 = 300

From option 1, by interchanging signs × and -, we get

(525 ÷ 15) × 3 - 5 + 200

= (35 × 3) - 5 + 200

= 105 - 5 + 200

= 305 - 5

= 300

Hence, option 1 is correct.
