SSC CHSL 2024 PYQ — Question 83

SSC CHSL - 02 July 2024 - Shift 3 • Reasoning • Q83

Which two numbers should be interchanged to make the given equation correct?

8 × (7 + 5 − 3) + (46 ÷ 23) × 6 − 69 = 44

(NOTE: Numbers must be interchanged and not the constituent digits e.g. if 2 and 3 are to be interchanged in the equation 43 × 3 + 4 ÷ 2, then interchanged equation is 43 × 2 + 4 ÷ 3)

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 46 and 69.

8 × (7 + 5 − 3) + (46 ÷ 23) × 6 − 69 = 44

After interchanging numbers,

8 × (7 + 5 − 3) + (69 ÷ 23) × 6 − 46 = 44

8 × 9 + 18 - 46 = 44

72 + 18 - 46 = 44

90 - 46 = 44

44 = 44
