Which two numbers should be interchanged to make the given equation correct?

25 × 7 + 20 – 40 ÷ 4 = 210

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 1 i.e. 20 and 40.

Understanding

Given equation: 25 × 7 + 20 – 40 ÷ 4 = 210

Let us check all the options:

Option 1: 20 and 40

The expression becomes:

= 25 × 7 + 40 – 20 ÷ 4

= 25 × 7 + 40 – 5

= 175 + 40 - 5

= 210

Hence, 210 is equal to 210.

As we have found our answer, we need not check the other options.

Hence, option 1 is the correct answer.
