SSC CHSL 2024 PYQ — Question 87

SSC CHSL - 05 July 2024 - Shift 3 • Reasoning • Q87

Which two numbers should be interchanged to make the given equation correct?
136 − (176 ÷ 11) × 8 + 22 × 3 = 105
(NOTE: Numbers must be interchanged and not the constituent digits e.g. if 2 and 3 are to be interchanged in the equation 43 × 3 + 4 ÷ 2, then interchanged equation is 43 × 2 + 4 ÷ 3)

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1, i.e., 11 and 22.

136 − (176 ÷ 11) × 8 + 22 × 3 = 105

After interchanging numbers,

136 − (176 ÷ 22) × 8 + 11 × 3 = 105

136 - (8 × 8) + 33 = 105

136 - 64 + 33 = 105

169 - 64 = 105

105 = 105
