Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana.

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana is a comprehensive program launched under the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) specifically to promote organic farming. It supports organic farming through the adoption of the Cluster Based approach, covering aspects like organic certification, capacity building, and marketing, thereby encouraging farmers to switch to chemical-free agriculture.

Other Options:

  • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY): This is a crop insurance scheme that provides financial support to farmers against crop loss due to natural calamities.

  • Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY): This scheme focuses on enhancing farm irrigation facilities and improving water-use efficiency ("Per Drop More Crop").

  • Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY): This is a broader umbrella scheme for the holistic development of agriculture and allied sectors, not exclusively focused on organic farming.
