Which of the following fields is NOT covered by the National Eminence Award?
Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: C
Explanation
The correct answer is option 3 i.e. Literature.
The National Eminence Award (officially the Sri Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Kala Vibhushan) does not cover Literature. This award, conferred by the Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha, exclusively honors distinguished contributions to the performing arts.
Eligible fields include Music (all forms), Dance, Theatre, and Fine Arts Administration.
Literature, while a celebrated art form, falls outside this scope and is recognized by separate literary awards such as those from the Sahitya Akademi.
The award’s focus remains on artistic performance and cultural stewardship, with past recipients being iconic musicians, dancers, and theatre practitioners.
