Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: A
Explanation
The correct answer is option 1 i.e. Mango showers.
The colloquial term used to describe pre-monsoon rains in parts of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu is ‘Mango Showers’. These are light to moderate rains occurring during the months of March to May, preceding the southwest monsoon. They are crucial for tropical regions as they help ripen mangoes, which is how they get their name. Additionally, these showers provide relief from the summer heat and are beneficial for crops like coffee and spices, particularly in the southern states of India.
