Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is option 2 i.e. 20.

Given that

A alone takes 25 days more than the time taken by A and B to do the work together

B alone takes 16 days more than the time taken by A and B to do the work together

Let the time taken by A and B to do work together be D

According to the question;

D = √(25 × 16) = 5 × 4 = 20 days

Hence, the time taken by A and B to do work together is 20 days.
