Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 80 : 79.

The money spent per advertisement in 2021:

NY Times = 7,60,000/19 = ₹40,000

The Telegraph = 4,80,000/24 = ₹20,000

Others = 4,40,000/22 = ₹20,000

The money spent per advertisement in 2018:

NY Times = 3,50,000/10 = ₹35,000

The Telegraph = 3,60,000/12 = ₹30,000

Others = 2,10,000 / 15 = ₹14,000

Required ratio = (40000 + 20000 + 20000) : (35000 + 30000 + 14000)

= 80000 : 79000

= 80/79

Therefore, the required ratio is 80 : 79.
