SSC GD 2026 PYQ — Question 57

SSC GD Constable - 5 May 2026 - Shift 2 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q57

Two trains are running in opposite direction with the same speed. Length of each train is 238 metres. They cross each other in 14 seconds. What is the speed (in m/s) of each train?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

Total length of both trains = 238 + 238= 476 meters

Relative speed = 476 / 14= 34 m/s

Since the speeds of both are equal, the speed of each train = 34 / 2= 17 m/s
