Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The  correct answer is option 4 i.e. 87

Understanding

Application

Let numbers are a, b and c:

Given

(a + b)/2 + c = 168

(b + c)/2 + a = 174

(a + c)/2 + b = 180

Given equations can be converted as:

a + b + 2c = 336 ---- (1)

b + c + 2a = 348 ---- (2)

c + a + 2b = 360 ---- (3)

Adding all equations:

4(a + b + c) = 1044

(a + b + c) = 1044/4 = 261

Hence, Average = 261/3 = 87
